Fire erupts at fabric scrap godown in Gazipur’s Konabari

A fire broke out at a fabric scrap (jhut) godown in Dewliabari area of Konabari in Gazipur city on Saturday, causing panic among locals and prompting a swift emergency response, reports UNB.
According to Mohammad Mamun, Deputy Assistant Director of the Gazipur Fire Service, the blaze began around noon and quickly spread through the godown, filled with highly flammable materials.
Six firefighting units from various stations in Gazipur were immediately deployed to the scene and are currently working to bring the fire under control. Efforts to douse the flames are ongoing.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. No casualties have been reported as of the latest update.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
