River ports asked to hoist cautionary signal 1

The Met Office has asked river ports to hoist cautionary signal number one as rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary west/northwesterly gusty or squally wind are likely to occur in different parts of the country, reports BSS.
The warning for inland river ports will remain valid till 6:00pm today, according to a bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) here today.
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary w/nw'ly gusty or squally wind speed [of] 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Tangail, Cumilla, Noakhali, Barishal, and Sylhet, wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal no one," the Met office bulletin said.
