A special meeting of the Council of Advisers is set to take place tonight to discuss the draft amendments to the International Crimes (Tribunals) Act, reports UNB.
The meeting, chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, will begin at 8pm at the State Guesthouse Jamuna.
A senior official of the interim government told UNB that the meeting's agenda is focused solely on the proposed changes to the ICT Act.
"There is no other issue so far I know. The meeting will only discuss the draft amendments to the ICT Act," the official said.
On Friday, the government announced its plan to urgently amend the International Crimes (Tribunals) Act to allow for the prosecution of associations and political parties involved in crimes against humanity.
