Ex-Aussie speedster Shaun Tait appointed Tigers’ pace bowling coach

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday announced the appointment of former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as the new pace bowling coach of the Bangladesh men's national team.
Earlier today, the board announced the departure of former New Zealand player Andre Adams from the same role.
The 42-year-old Tait will officially join the team setup later this month, with a contract that runs through November 2027, according to a BCB press release.
Tait brings a wealth of international coaching experience, having previously served as bowling coach for the national teams of Pakistan, the West Indies (Test side), and Afghanistan.
His coaching résumé also includes stints in top-level franchise leagues such as the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Big Bash League (BBL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lankan Premier League (LPL), and English county cricket.
In the most recent BPL season, Tait served as head coach of Chittagong Kings, a franchise he also played for during the 2012–13 edition.
Renowned as one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket, Tait was part of Australia's ICC Cricket World Cup-winning squad in 2007. He represented his country in 59 matches across all formats.
Tait expressed optimism about the direction of Bangladesh cricket.
"It's a good time to be involved with the Bangladesh cricket team right now—a bit of a new era, if you like," he was quoted as saying in the BCB press release. "It's been spoken about many times recently—the young talent with the fast bowlers—which is great. This is international cricket, not a development team, and everyone expects the talent to bring results, which is very much my focus with the fast bowling group, and most importantly, getting more wins for the team."
He added, "To have the opportunity to work with Phil Simmons is equally as exciting, and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead."
