Flight operations suspended at four airports in Pakistan

In the wake of cross-border shelling between India and Pakistan on Wednesday, Pakistan suspended flight operations at four major airports, reports BBC Urdu.
Flights have been suspended in airports in the capital Islamabad as well as Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot.
In a statement, the Pakistan Airport Authority has requested passengers to stay in touch with their respective airlines for latest updates.
Late Tuesday and early Wednesday, after airstrikes by India on several locations in Pakistan, Pakistan's airspace was closed for 48 hours. But it was partially reopened after a few hours.
According to media reports and airline instructions, more than 20 airports in India have been closed until May 10. However, there has been no official confirmation from India's Civil Aviation or Airports Authority so far.
Earlier on Wednesday, following the airstrikes on Pakistan, major Indian flight operators issued advisories for passengers affected by the closure of multiple airports. Over 400 flights were cancelled in India on that day alone.
